This Old Town Park City residence is a careful balance of preservation and modern expansion, rooted in the character of the area’s historic mining past. Set on a constrained hillside lot, the project required thoughtful coordination and creative problem-solving at every stage—from limited site access to navigating strict historical requirements. The original structure was meticulously restored, including the removal and preservation of historic wall panels, which were later reinstalled to maintain the home’s authentic exterior. Paired with a contemporary addition, the residence blends reclaimed materials, refined detailing, and modern functionality—resulting in a home that honors its past while creating a seamless, livable environment for today.
