Construction has begun on Copa Flats, a 312-unit, multi-family housing development on 13 acres in Maricopa, AZ. The affordable housing project, backed by Minnesota-based developer, Real Estate Equities has a proposed mix of one, two and three-bedroom units with the following mix: 48 one-bedroom, one-bathroom units; 108 two-bedroom, two-bathroom units; and 156 three-bedroom, two-bathroom units. Currently, 13 total buildings are expected to be built on the site. All 13 will be three stories and approximately 35 feet in height, housing 24 units per structure. This is the first of multiple projected multi-family developments scheduled for the Phoenix metropolitan area with the need for affordable housing increasing at an exponentiated rate. The project is expected to come to substantial completion by December of 2023.

Mendota Heights is a growing suburb of the Twin Cities. Several company’s headquarters are in Mendota Heights including Mayflower Distributing and Patterson Companies. The city itself is a historic city with beautiful parks and breath-taking views. In 2017, Big-D Construction’s Midwest office commenced construction of a 139 brand new apartment homes. The project was constructed adjacent to the Dodge Nature Preserve, providing residents with unobstructed views overlooking the preserve.

The Reserve at Mendota Village

The Reserve at Mendota Village features two levels of underground parking for residents and guests. The apartment building itself stands four-levels. Amenities include an outdoor pool and patio area, 2 community lounges, and a fitness and yoga studio. Each 1 and 2-bedroom units feature exquisite finishes that include materials such as granite, quartz, and hard maple cabinetry. Floors 3 &amp; 4 feature full height kitchen cabinetry and engineered wood floors. The project was constructed using high efficiency HVAC systems, LED Lighting throughout and will feature a Solar Garden covering the flat roof.
