Alf’s Restaurant Expansion

Alf’s Restaurant is an on-hill full-service restaurant located at the base of the Supreme and Sugarloaf ski lifts at Alta Ski Area. The Restaurant had been in operation for 25 years prior to this much-needed renovation. The expansion create space for a new gift/ski shop, expanded dining room, and mechanical, electrical and storage room facilities to support the expansion. Construction included the relocation of existing utilities, new footings and foundation walls, structural steel, expansive storefront/curtainwall systems, exterior rock, standing seam metal siding, and MEP and fire suppression systems upgrades. Interior finishes were updated throughout the restaurant, giving the restaurant a modern and refined look. The scope of the expansion also included a restroom/shower area and living quarter expansion for seasonal restaurant employees. The work required a complex split schedule that spanned two seasons due to location, weather, and extent and complexity of construction.
