Big-D Construction was recently awarded the 2020 Sports & Entertainment Project of the Year recognition for our work on the Weber State University North End Zone! We are proud to work with such outstanding trade partners, employees, clients, and community members—without you, this wouldn’t have been possible. This recognition is a nod to your hard work on such a safe, innovative, and teamwork.
The Weber State North End Zone was designed to be the focal point of both the players’ and fans’ experience at Stewart Stadium. The entrance welcomes fans as they enter through the plaza (known as Sark’s Boys Gateway) to get the full effect of the fan experience during Wildcat Home games.
Arguably, the most eye-catching part of the project for football players is the locker room. The WSU North End Zone project includes several custom aspects—especially in the locker room area. The lockers themselves feature a custom design usually reserved for NFL teams. The building also features specialty murals, unique lighting, and plenty of natural light filtering in through massive windows that offer unbeatable views of the field. The space provides a professional space for the WSU Wildcats to practice, challenge opponents, work out between practices, and push themselves to greater things. The WSU Track Team also utilizes the space for track meets and practice.
