Self Performed Structural Concrete
Project Description
Big-D Construction was selected by Natomas Meadows, LLC to complete the site work and the building shell and then was selected by the tenant, the United States Postal Service (USPS), through the competitive best-value procurement process to complete the interior build-out of their Auxiliary Service Facility in Western Salt Lake City.
The new 302,822-square-foot concrete tilt-up USPS warehouse is comprised of slab-on-grade construction with a steel roof structure, a TPO membrane roofing, skylights, curtain wall systems, painted exterior panels, loading docks with overhead doors, an ESFR fire protection system, and mechanical and electrical systems. The interior buildout included wire mesh partitions, lockers, battery racks, turnstiles and loading dock equipment. The tenant also made several site improvements including fencing, sliding/operable gates, parking control equipment and a building sign.
