Project Description

In 2003, Big-D Construction commenced work on the Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, Utah. Conducted in two phases, the project took 23 months and helped to improve patient care in the small community in Uintah County. Now that community is growing, as is the need for healthcare services. In 2016, Big-D would return to Ashley Regional Medical Center to perform an expansion and renovations to the facility.

The project includes a 47,000 square-foot expansion to the existing facility. The expansion features a new outpatient entry and registration, a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a new OB unit, and space for additional medical offices. Big-D also renovated approximately 70,000 square-feet of the existing hospital. The renovated areas include patient rooms, respiratory therapy, surgery prep and recovery, and administration offices.

There will also be modifications and replacement of the central plant, mechanical systems, and electrical systems of the hospital. Crews worked with the hospital to ensure there is zero disruptions to patient care during the project.
