Big-D Construction recently promoted its Corporate Controller Blake Van Roosendaal as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. The move comes after Larry Worrell announced his retirement after 16 years with the firm.
Blake and Larry have worked together as Controller and CFO respectively for nearly 16 years. Before their tenure at Big-D, both worked together in public accounting, and at the time, Larry managed the audit and taxes for Big-D’s account. Larry joined Big-D as its CFO in 2002 and would bring Blake on board to create the backbone to Big-D’s financial growth.
Blake will now take the reins from his mentor and friend and will become Chief Financial Officer effective January 1, 2019. With Blake assuming the role of CFO, Jake Bartholomew has joined Big-D as Corporate Controller. Jake will oversee the finances of the entire Big-D Family of Companies.
