Big-D Construction announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire McAlvain Companies, Inc. The acquisition is expected to close later this month.
McAlvain Companies will continue to be headquartered in Boise, Idaho, where it has served Treasure Valley and its neighboring states for nearly 40 years. The company will continue with the same name and be locally managed. McAlvain’s management team will continue to serve the company in their current capacity including Torry McAlvain as CEO, whose father started the business in 1980; and Chuck Graves as President.

This transaction will allow McAlvain to better serve its customers by enabling the company to take on larger, more complex projects in Idaho and its neighboring states and communities, as well as increasing its bonding capacity and resources. The move will also allow McAlvain to further its mission of delivering an incomparable customer experience as Idaho continues to observe unprecedented growth.
