Project Description

The community of Bloomington, Minnesota has been booming with residential projects, including The Preserve at Normandale Lake. The city is the fourth largest in the state of Minnesota. In 2016, Big-D Construction commenced construction on The Preserve at Nomandale Lake Apartments.

The 5-story apartment building consists of 179 apartment units and amenity space. Veneer is a combination of brick, stone, metal panels, cement board, and stucco. The building includes studio apartments, as well as one, two, and three-bedroom apartment units. There is also a limited number of deluxe, two-story penthouses. Each apartment includes a private deck or patio.

The design includes a grand, two-story lobby, a sky lounge, a clubroom with a culinary kitchen, a conference room, and a yoga room and fitness center. Two amenity terraces are on the first level that features a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, two fire pits, and a large garden. A unique feature to The Preserve at Nomandale Lake has a specialty spa for pets.

The first phase of the project consisted of the construction of a two-story underground parking structure. The heated parking structure and includes a resident loading dock. The apartment building was then constructed on top of the parking structure.
