The new Pinole Point Business Park project consists of the construction of two new warehouse buildings on a 27.35-acre site. Building 1 is 247,908 square feet and Building 2 is 221,167 square feet. Both buildings are tilt-up with a 32-foot height clearance at the exterior walls with a hybrid panelized wood roof. Big-D is building the two shell structures and the associated site work within the 31-week time frame. The tenant improvement packages will be designed and added to our scope at a later date.
The Pinole Point Business Park added to the flurry of development in recent years, as companies like Whole Foods Market, UPS, Broadline Medical, and Bio-Rad Laboratories have all set up shop in the area. Before Big-D Construction crews could begin work on the new business park, the developers had to tear down an empty, 350,000 square foot former steel factory.
