Project Description

AutoZone is the second-largest retailer of automotive parts and accessories in the United States. The company has more than 5,100 stores across the United States, Mexico, and Brazil. In 2016, Big-D Construction broke ground on a 475,000 square-foot warehouse and distribution center in Pasco, Washington.

The structure of the warehouse is slab on grade, concrete tilt-up, with structural steel columns. The facility is one of a number of “MegaHub” centers designed to increase the frequency of deliveries to AutoZone stores. In addition to the warehouse and distribution center, office space and a truck maintenance facility building were constructed as part of the project. The 7,546 square-foot truck maintenance facility building is an engineered metal building. The office space also features resilient flooring, acoustical tile, and painted gypsum board walls.

Completion of the new facility is expected to bring more than 200 new jobs to the Pasco community.
